COMMITTEES
The following committees with the membership indicated will be maintained. Committees are advisory to the town board.
 (A) Town Administration Committee to consist of (3) Board members
(B) Lakes Committee to consist of (2) Board members and (5) citizen members
(C) Public Works Committee to consist of (2) Board members and (1) alternate member
(D) Fire Committee to consist of (3) Board members and (2) village members
(E) Budget Committee to consist of the Chair, (1) citizen member, and the Town Clerk.
(F) Waste Transfer and Recycling Committee to consist of (2) board members and (2) citizen members
(G) Emergency Government to consist of (2) town board members, the Police Administrator, the Public Works Supervisor, the Fire Chief
(H) EMS Committee to consist of (1) town board member and (1) alternate
(I) Fence Viewing Committee to consist of (3) town board members including the Chair

Scope of Work: Review as required and make recommendations to the town board concerning:
1.      Wages, salaries, and benefits of Town Employees;
2.      Review overtime of town employees;
3.      Review of Employee Policies and Procedures;
4.      Annual Performance Review of employees.
5.      Contracts with outside agencies or companies.
6.      Oversight of office operations
7.      Define budgetary needs regarding the committee’s scope of work.

Scope of Work: Review as required and make recommendations to the town board concerning:
1.      Lake Redstone and Dutch Hollow Lake;
2.      Fox Court Boat Landing, Section 11 Boat Landing, Dutch Hollow Lake Boat Landing
3.      Define budgetary needs regarding the committee’s scope of work.
4.      Education of the public
 Oversight: Activities regarding lakes and boat landings found in the Town of La Valle.
Help needed from Public Works department will be referred to the PWC

3.      Road upkeep (plowing, mowing, shoulders, right of way)
4.      Facilities, including all properties owned by the town
5.      Historical Preservation
 Committee oversight: Roads/Hwy Safety/ Facilities

Scope of Work: Review as required and make recommendations to the town board concerning:
1.      Manage fleet and facilities
2.      Define budgetary needs regarding the committee’s scope of work.
3.       Oversight: Fire Department including First Responders

1.      The annual town budget
2.      The raising of revenue through taxation, borrowing of funds, and applying for grants.
3.      Purchasing procedures, budget transfers and increases.
4.      Property and Liability Insurance.
5.      Review of monthly vouchers.
6.      Review current YTD Budget
7.      Town Fees and Permit charges.

Emergency Government

Scope of Work: Review as required and make recommendations to the town board concerning:
1.      Alerting, warning and informing the public
2.      Incident report and tracking
3.      Planning and modeling of emergency responses
4.      Network with county emergency management
